The Opportunity:

The Police Watch Operator provides administrative and operational support on a 24/7 basis to members of the RCMP and Municipal Enforcement. This position utilizes and is responsible for maintaining all relevant police databases, computer related software, and communication devices while multitasking in fast-paced and high stress environment. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential components of the role as it provides critical support for officer and public safety.

As our preferred candidate, you will have:

  • Grade 12
  • Must have 3 years' of direct related experience in a Police environment; may consider 3 years' experience in Legal environment as an equivalent.
  • Ability to pass RCMP security clearance prior to receiving an offer of employment
  • Must maintain RCMP security clearance throughout employment
  • Ability to type 55wpm accurately
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete tested courses in: RCMP PROS User Course, RCMP CPIC Maintenance Course, RCMP Records Information Manager Course and National Call Taking Course
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete Police Watch Operator Training
  • Must be able to work shift work in a 24/7 operation

Remuneration:

$37.42 to $39.39 per hour.

Hours of Work:

37.5 hours biweekly, as scheduled. Shift work including up to 11.5 hour shifts for days, evenings/nights and weekends/holidays.

Additional Information:
