You will

  • Complete minor buildings repairs such as painting, basic plumbing and carpentry, minor electrical repairs, and assist janitorial duties as required 
  • Conduct standard move in and move out inspections as required  
  • Deliver an exemplary level of customer service by responding professionally and promptly to resident inquiries, greeting tenants, visitors and contractors 
  • Complete daily inspections of the property's common areas, building exterior and any amenities to ensure all are maintained to a high standard and move in and move out inspections as required  
  • Conduct monthly inspections of all utility and storage rooms, and ensure cleanliness 
  • Complete monthly, quarterly and annual building reports through Yardi 
  • Oversee elevator bookings and ensure security is maintained during moves   
  • Supervise the use of any amenity areas  
  • Respond to and coordinate tenant repairs  
  • Answer the building phone line on a rotation and resolve tenant concerns, and be on call for property emergencies  
  • Program security fobs as required and ensure the property is safe and secure at all times  
  • Ensure the Property Management Office is neat and tidy  
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is completed in conjunction with the Property Manager and supervise contractors/trades who are on site  
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the RTA, Fire Codes, WCB, OH&S  
  • Attend staff meetings  
  • Assist if needed at our other multi-family properties in the Metro Vancouver area.  

You have

  • Minimum of 2 years residential maintenance experience  
  • Understanding of BC Residential Tenancy Act and its application an asset 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written  
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills  
  • Willingness to learn and the ability to work without direction – a self-starter  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel and experience with Yardi Rent Café is an asset.

Pay range: $55,000 - $70,000, depending on experience
