Tideview Terrace, an Eden Alternative Registered Long Term Care Facility located in Digby NS, serving 90 residents and operates on an annual budget of $13M. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide clinical services to our residents with the support of a Rehabilitation Assistant.

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist provides assessment, care planning, consultation, intervention, and follow-up. They also function as a team member to improve, restore, and/or maintain resident's functional abilities as well as achieving the strategic directions of Tideview Terrace.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent in Occupational Therapy from a recognized School of Occupational therapy
• Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia
• Demonstrated clinical experience providing OT assessments and interventions with seniors
• Knowledge and experience in a LTC environment preferred
• Prior training as a Certified Eden Associate, Vivage Neighborhood Guide, Person Centered Leadership Model, Art of Hosting, LEAN in LTC, PATH, and InterRAI considered an asset.
• Solid communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with others
• Service orientated with ability to build relationships and create win/win situations
• Excellent listening, negotiation, team building and problem-solving skills
• Ability to negotiate sensitive conflict resolution situations
• A "big picture" thinker and change agent with a propensity for continuous learning
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time and meet deadlines
• Proven ability to make timely, effective decisions in a fast paced, changing environment
• Solid computer literacy skills including proficiency in MS Suite of applications such as Word, Outlook and Excel, InterRAI, and scheduling software.

Hours Of Work

• Permanent Part-time (80%) position; 32 hours per week OR
• Permanent Full-time (100%) position; 40 hours per week
