OverviewHealth Association Nova Scotia - Conway, NS, Canada. Occupational Therapist position at Tideview Terrace, Digby, NS. Tideview Terrace is an Eden Alternative Registered Long Term Care Facility located in Digby NS, serving 90 residents with an annual budget of $13M. The employer is open to discussing either 4 or 5 days per week (80% or 100%).We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team and provide clinical services to our residents with the support of a Rehabilitation Assistant. As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist provides assessment, care planning, consultation, intervention, and follow-up. They also function as a team member to improve, restore, and/or maintain residents’ functional abilities as well as achieving the strategic directions of Tideview Terrace.ResponsibilitiesProvide assessment, care planning, consultation, intervention, and follow-up for residents in a long-term care setting.Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to improve, restore, and/or maintain residents’ functional abilities.Support the strategic directions of Tideview Terrace through clinical practice.QualificationsMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Occupational Therapy from a recognized school of Occupational Therapy.Member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia.Demonstrated clinical experience providing OT assessments and interventions with seniors.Knowledge and experience in a long-term care environment preferred.Prior training as a Certified Eden Associate, Vivage Neighborhood Guide, Person Centered Leadership Model, Art of Hosting, LEAN in LTC, PATH, and InterRAI considered an asset.Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.Service orientation with ability to build relationships and create win/win situations.Excellent listening, negotiation, team building, and problem-solving skills.Ability to negotiate sensitive conflict resolution situations.A big-picture thinker and change agent with a propensity for continuous learning.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; ability to make timely, effective decisions in a fast-paced, changing environment.Solid computer literacy including proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), InterRAI, and scheduling software.Hours Of WorkPermanent Part-time (80%) position; 32 hours per week ORPermanent Full-time (100%) position; 40 hours per weekBenefits IncludeNSHEPP Pension PlanHealth, Dental, Life and Critical Illness InsurancesFlexible working hoursApplication DetailsSuccessful applicants will be required to submit the below documents and assume associated costs as a condition of employment.Criminal Record CheckProof of education & training certificationsProof of any additional required qualificationValid registration with the relevant licensing bodyProof of SIN numberPosted: Thursday, January 22, 2026Job # 3571 #J-18808-Ljbffr
