About the opportunity:
Based out of our St. Claude, MB plant the Logistics Assistant supports production planning and provides a service to customers in order to meet their requirements.
The attributes we are looking for:
- Provide customer service by following up with appropriate departments on customer claims and product issues, requests, orders or logistics, coordinating orders with other Customer Service departments, arranging delivery of replacement product, and providing information.
- Ensure integrity of data for product quantity, price, and orders and delivery in SAP comparing and balancing with Sales department and carrier. Assist operators with data entry into SAP and balancing of ingredients used.
- Ensure that finished products are delivered to customers by checking and verifying that products are shipped according to orders, coordinating shipments with carriers between warehouses, and resolving logistics problems and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
- Participate in production planning according to sales forecast by following up to ensure that product will be ready for delivery.
- Maintain up to date inventory in the warehouses by conducting regular inventory counts and updating the system. Informs management of out of specification product
- Complete production reports by comparing, verifying, and balancing inventory data between multiple systems and warehouse locations.
- Where applicable administer the KRONOS system by verifying time punches, correcting department codes or hours, verifying over-time work with supervisors, sending approvals to Payroll and responding to related inquiries.
What you will bring:
- College diploma in business management
- Three (3) years of experience in customer service and logistics
- Excellent organization, priority management and decision-making skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Result oriented in a highly dynamic team environment
- Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), as well as business systems such as SAP
- Bilingual (English and French) where applicable (nice to have)
