Job Summary:

As a Greenhouse Worker (Production), you will have a hands-on role in the production of conventional plants. Your work will ensure healthy plants that meet quality standards, and a clean, safe greenhouse environment that contributes directly to our reputation for excellence.

As a Greenhouse Worker (Production) your responsibilities will include:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work with Production Supervisor and other team members to ensure daily tasks are being completed in a timely manner
• Ensure product is meeting quality standards (i.e. Plants are free of pests, seed counts are good, plants are centered and not broken at time of planting or harvesting)
• Report any health and safety concerns to the Production Supervisor
• Problem solving in relation to equipment, missing product for orders or daily issues that may occur
• Abide by GAP protocols
• General set up and clean up duties
• Filling trays with pots and pots with soil
• Tagging, propping and labeling plants
• Boxing and wrapping plants for shipment
• Other duties as assigned

Education/Skills Required:

• Previous greenhouse experience, an asset
• Must wear steel toe shoes/boots
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods of time, repetitive work
• Reliable, team player
• Ability to keep communication with team members
• Ability to organize and maintain clean work environment
• Availability on weekends and holidays, with extended hours during seasonal periods.
