Job Summary:As a Greenhouse Worker (Production), you will have a hands-on role in the production of conventional plants. Your work will ensure healthy plants that meet quality standards, and a clean, safe greenhouse environment that contributes directly to our reputation for excellence. As a Greenhouse Worker (Production) your responsibilities will include: Primary Responsibilities: Work with Production Supervisor and other team members to ensure daily tasks are being completed in a timely mannerEnsure product is meeting quality standards (i.e. Plants are free of pests, seed counts are good, plants are centered and not broken at time of planting or harvesting)Report any health and safety concerns to the Production SupervisorProblem solving in relation to equipment, missing product for orders or daily issues that may occurAbide by GAP protocolsGeneral set up and clean up dutiesFilling trays with pots and pots with soilTagging, propping and labeling plantsBoxing and wrapping plants for shipmentOther duties as assigned Education/Skills Required: Previous greenhouse experience, an assetMust wear steel toe shoes/bootsAbility to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods of time, repetitive workReliable, team playerAbility to keep communication with team membersAbility to organize and maintain clean work environment Availability on weekends and holidays, with extended hours during seasonal periods.
