**Scope: The Deputy Chief will work closely with the Career Officers, the POC compliment, and the Executive Director ofLLBMSS.**Responsibilities:Daily operational and administrative oversight of the staff and volunteer fire members.Work collaboratively with Parks Canada, community groups, and leaseholders.Follow administrative requirements and systems to meet operational and legal requirements.Organize and utilize members and contracted agencies effectively by maintaining appropriate levels of supervision and delegation whennecessary.Demonstrate strong interpersonal & communication skills, working cooperatively with members, partner agencies, town businesses andresidents.Comply with occupational health and safety requirements.Understand and work within the annual budget.Assist the Fire Chief in strategic planning and budget preparationRespond to emergency incidents, direct company tactics, strategies and tasks. Assume control of an incident by establishing a commandorganization.
