What if you could help shape healthier, safer, more sustainable communities?
With us, you can. You'll join a collaborative group of environmental engineers, geoscientists, scientists, and technicians working on projects that make a tangible impact in the region and beyond.
In this role, you'll take on meaningful field and technical work across aggregates, waste management, hydrogeology, and compliance programs — with opportunities to stretch into other areas of Earth & Environment as your career grows.
Why WSP?
You want balance, growth, purpose, and people who get it — and that's exactly what you'll find here.
- Our Flexible Work Policy supports meaningful balance in all parts of your life.
- A proudly Canadian success story — our work is woven into the fabric of communities across the country.
- Outstanding career opportunities backed by global expertise and local impact.
- A collaborative, supportive culture where you can learn from experienced mentors and feel part of something bigger.
We offer competitive pay, flexible work options, comprehensive benefits, virtual healthcare, wellness resources, savings programs, and a clear, inspiring vision for the future.
What you'll do
- You'll support landfill and aggregate site compliance monitoring programs, including fieldwork and reporting.
- You'll independently complete authorized field assignments and collaborate with technicians, contractors, and multidisciplinary team members.
- You'll collect, document, and manage environmental field data following WSP standards and industry protocols.
- You'll communicate with clients, labs, government partners, and service providers to keep project activities running smoothly.
- You'll assist in producing technical reports — analyzing chemical, hydrogeological, and geotechnical data, and drafting clear, professional deliverables.
- You'll champion safe work practices and ensure full implementation of corporate and client safety programs.
What you'll bring to WSP
- 3–5 years of environmental consulting experience, including fieldwork.
- A degree in environmental, geological, civil engineering, geoscience, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for P.Eng. or P.Geo.
- Experience with Ontario environmental regulations (preferred).
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- A valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to use your own vehicle for site work.
- Willingness and ability to perform outdoor fieldwork.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and regulatory documents.
- Strong on‑the‑fly problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
