*Role Responsibilities*
If you enjoy working outside and are committed to improving a visitor's experience when they visit a provincial park by maintaining facilities and campgrounds, come join our Maintenance Team in one of our Southern Alberta locations – Kinbrook Island, Tillebrook and Dinosaur Provincal Parks.
We are looking for highly motivated, well-organized, responsible Maintenance Workers for the 2026 summer season. You will be part of a team accountable for providing regular maintenance and operational duties that support the day-to-day operation of campgrounds, day use areas, facilities and trail systems.
We Are Currently Looking To Hire:
- Park Maintenance Worker 1 (MSW1)
- Park Maintenance Worker 2 (MSW2)
- Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3)
As a Park Maintenance Service Worker (MSW1), duties and responsibilities include but not limited to
:
- Performing landscaping and maintenance of campgrounds, day use areas and facilities.
- Cleaning of buildings, restrooms, vault toilets, shower houses. Cleaning includes mopping, sweeping, disinfecting toilets, sinks, floors, shower stalls.
- Litter pickup and garbage removal on beaches, day use facilities, picnic areas.
- Performing routine and preventative maintenance on infrastructure, vehicles and equipment.
- Operating irrigation systems as directed according to operational needs.
- Assisting with water testing for small water systems.
- Operating equipment such as mowers, trimmers, ATVs, skid steers, etc.
- Assisting with trail maintenance, beach and dock maintenance.
- Installing and maintaining signage.
- Reporting all maintenance concerns accordingly.
- Assisting with hazard tree management and invasive plant management programs.
- Being familiar with and practicing all pertinent Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies, procedures and protocols as well as with the Facility Emergency Response Plan and protocols.
- Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense claims, commencement and termination paperwork, and online courses.
Please note that Caretaking services and Park Maintenance are rolled into one work unit at Kinbrook Island and Tillebrook Parks. Expect to perform general caretaking and general Park Maintenance duties at these locations.

- Maintaining roads and parking lot areas.
- Assisting with playground routine inspections and maintenance.
- Installing and removing docks, maintaining beaches.
- Operating heavy equipment such as loaders, graders, groomers, vac truck, garbage trucks, etc.).
- Operating chainsaws, brush saws and other landscape equipment with appropriate training and certifications.
- Campsite maintenance and building cleaning as required.

As The Park Maintenance Crew Lead (MSW3), Primary Duties Include Assisting MSW1 And MSW2 Workers With The Duties Mentioned Above In Addition To Administrative And Supervisory Tasks Such As
:
- Onsite lead for a crew of MSW staff. Accountable for direct site operations, and for leading the task scheduling for other staff.
- Leading trail crews where applicable.
- Assisting with formal inspections, maintenance and servicing of equipment.
- Conducting purchasing and orders supply inventory within budget.
- Assisting with staff training and staff performance reviews.
- Supporting the operation of various systems in accordance with standards and regulations to ensure safe provision of drinking water and waste water removal.

All positions will require you to work various shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays. You have the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and will be paid for number of hours worked.
