Travel Operations Analyst – Role Description

Overview

The Travel Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and supporting the operational workflows of GoGo Tours' travel products. This role ensures tours are delivered smoothly, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company standards by leveraging data, supplier coordination, and internal process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Planning & Analysis

  • Analyze tour cost structures (hotels, flights, transportation, meals, guides) to ensure profitability and accuracy.
  • Build and maintain pricing models, including per-passenger cost calculations and margin analysis.
  • Review historical booking patterns, seasonality, and load factors to guide inventory decisions.

2. Supplier & Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with airlines, DMCs, hotels, and local operators to confirm rates, dates, passenger counts, and tour inclusions.
  • Evaluate supplier quotes to ensure competitive and consistent pricing.
  • Maintain a database of preferred vendors, negotiated rates, and contract terms.

3. Operational Execution

  • Create internal operations sheets (OPS sheets) for each departure, including budgets, timelines, and checklists.
  • Support the operations team with ticketing checks, manifest creation, and rooming list preparation.
  • Verify all pre-departure documentation (insurance, waivers, passports) aligns with tour requirements.

4. Quality Control & Risk Management

  • Audit tour performance post-departure (profit/loss, complaints, refund issues) to identify trends and improvements.
  • Investigate operational issues such as flight delays, overbookings, supplier errors, or passenger cancellations/chargebacks.
  • Support creation and enforcement of SOPs across ticketing, reservations, and tour-leader guidelines.
