The Opportunity: A Custodian to provide custodial services and regular cleaning of classrooms, labs, offices, corridors, and washrooms in assigned areas. The incumbent will be responsible for the moving of furniture, equipment, and office moves, as well as set-ups for special college functions (i.e. graduation, examinations, college open house, etc.). Cleaning is extended to walls, ceilings, and the resurfacing of all floors – both manual and machine methods are used to accomplish this.

What you need to be successful:

  • high school education
  • minimum of one year of work experience as a caretaker/cleaner in a commercial/institutional environment, or equivalent
  • strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment

Sault College provides an attractive total compensation package, encompassing competitive wages/salaries, a defined benefit pension plan, group insurance benefits, and a variety of employee perks. This is a temporary full-time support staff position, 40 hours/week, 12 months/year, Payband C $26.01-$30.07/hour (starting $26.01/hour). Shift times are 10:00pm-6:30am but subject to change to satisfy the requirements of the college.
