Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling and cashiering, with a focus on maintaining sanitation and safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the food industry while delivering a positive experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments via POS systems
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
  • Assist with food preparation and restocking supplies as needed
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, cashiering, or food service preferred, especially within the restaurant or food industry
  • Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Good understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Effective time management to handle multiple tasks during peak hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities
  • Kitchen experience or restaurant background is a plus but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$23.01 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
