At RFNOW Inc., we're committed to building high-quality fibreoptic infrastructure that helps power communities across the region. We're looking for a motivated and forward-thinking Assistant Controller to join our team and play a key role in the ongoing success of our growing organization.

Duties:

  • Lead projects to automate accounts payable, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting
  • Review daily accounting including journal entries, banking, and accruals
  • Assist with review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting across multiple entities to ensure timely and accurate closings
  • Oversee auditors during year end and liaise to assist with solving complex accounting issues
  • Prepare 13 week cash flow forecasts
  • Assist to manage tax and compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including GST and PST in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
  • Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets
  • Maintain and improve processes in the company's accounting systems and financial policies
  • Assist the preparation of all Covenant reporting to the Company's banking partners
  • Support the Director of FP&A in the annual Budget process and Quarterly reforecasts
  • Support project costing, capital expenditure planning, and grant funding compliance for infrastructure development.
  • Mentor accountants and support an environment of continuous learning and development
  • Other reasonable duties as required to support the Corporate Controller and business in general

Qualifications:

  • CPA with 3-5 years of post-designation experience in industry
  • Knowledge of ASPE
  • High level of proficiency with Excel and accounting / financial reporting systems including NetSuite and Vena
