Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a proven track record in Liquor retail management. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service while driving sales and maintaining store standards.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of employees to achieve sales goals and maintain operational efficiency.
- Manage scheduling, training, and development of staff to enhance performance and productivity.
- Manage and oversee inventory management, including purchasing, ordering, merchandising, pricing, and cash handling procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while fostering a positive work environment.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct interviews for new hires, participate in the recruiting process, and support employee onboarding.
- Monitor store performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement in sales and service quality.
- Maintain accurate records related to payroll, budgeting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with upper management on marketing initiatives to drive store traffic and increase sales.
- Receive, verify, and organize incoming liquor deliveries.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure proper rotation to avoid expired products.
- Conduct bi-weekly inventory checks and assist with audits as required.
- Track and report discrepancies, damages, or shrinkage.
- Submit daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales trend & reports, staff attendance logs, and petty cash records to management.
- Ensure store documentation is accurate, up to date, and filed as per company standards.
- Prepare reports as requested by management or for compliance audits.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Liquor retail management or a supervisory role within a retail environment.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills.
- Proficiency in customer service principles and practices; experience in sales management is preferred.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence outcomes positively.
- Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus; proficiency in English is required.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for financial transactions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing tasks.
- Experience in training & development of staff members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies that can be applied within the liquor retail space is advantageous. Join our team as a Supervisor where your leadership will make a significant impact on our success

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.85-$23.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Experience:
- liquor retail industry: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Serving It Right (preferred)
