About the Role
The Senior Director, Fund Development will lead Friends of Ruby's multi-year fundraising strategy and oversees all fund development activities, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, grants, and donor stewardship, while working closely with the Executive Director, Board, and internal teams. Success is defined by building a strong, diversified funding pipeline with consistent

As a Senior Director, Fund Development, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and execute a multi-year philanthropic strategy focused on major gifts, corporate partnerships, and foundation grants.
- Build and manage a high-value donor portfolio, securing transformative six-figure commitments.
- Oversee complex and multi-year gifts, grant development, reporting, and donor stewardship in line with CRA guidelines.
- Serve as Friends of Ruby's chief philanthropy ambassador; engage and support the Executive Director and Board in advancing major gifts.
- Cultivate an organization-wide culture of philanthropy and advise the Board's Fund Development Committee using data-driven insights.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing development team, including future staffing planning.
- Ensure ethical fundraising, CRA compliance, and strong CRM, gift management, and stewardship practices.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive philanthropic leadership experience in the non-profit sector.
- Proven track record in major gift fundraising, with the ability to
secure six-figure
commitments. - Proficiency with donor management/CRM software (e.g., Bloomerang, Raiser's Edge).

What We Need
