About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Manager with a strong background in the sports industry. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, understands digital storytelling, and can drive social media strategy while creating engaging, high-quality content across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive the overall social media strategy aligned with brand and business goals
  • Plan, create, and manage a monthly and weekly content calendar
  • Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms
  • Capture content using camera equipment (photo and video) during games, events, trainings, and behind-the-scenes moments
  • Edit photos and videos using relevant tools and formats optimized for each platform
  • Design graphics and social assets using Canva
  • Monitor trends in sports, social media, and digital content to keep platforms fresh and relevant
  • Write compelling captions, hashtags, and calls-to-action
  • Manage posting schedules, community engagement, comments, and messages
  • Track performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for improvement

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing social media accounts, preferably in the sports industry
  • Proven experience with Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Hands-on experience with camera operation, photo, and video capture
  • Strong video editing skills (short-form and long-form content)
  • Proficiency in Canva for graphic design
  • Strong understanding of social media analytics and performance tracking
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience covering live sports or sporting events
  • Knowledge of current social media trends, especially in sports content
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
