Lymphoma Pathologist - Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at BC Cancer is seeking an experienced lymphoma pathologist with expertise in diagnostic lymphoma pathology and related translational/basic research in order to further support BC Cancer's mandate.

Priority will be given to applicants with specific lymphoma or hematopathology fellowship training and experience at a major academic cancer centre in the area of lymphoma pathology.

The applicant should also have a demonstrable record in research involving lymphoid cancers with a desire to collaborate with other researchers in the Centre for Lymphoid Cancer and the Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre. Collaborative research with basic scientists, oncologists, and industry is well established at BC Cancer and all members of our medical staff are encouraged to pursue clinical, translational, or fundamental research related to cancer in addition to their service work.

The individual selected is expected to participate in teaching of postgraduate trainees and undergraduate medical students. The successful candidate will be recommended for an appointment within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of British Columbia.

Participation in departmental quality programs, including quality assurance and quality improvement programs is mandatory.

Applicants should have Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anatomical Pathology, General Pathology, or Hematopathology or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. The applicant must be eligible for licensure in British Columbia.
