Receptionist (Kitchen Cabinet Design Experience Required)

Overview
We are seeking a for a professional and customer-oriented receptionist who also has hands-on experience in kitchen cabinet design. The ideal candidate is familiar with 2020 Design software and other CAD softwares, understands cabinet construction, and has knowledge of cabinet hardware (hinges, slides, organizers, handles, etc.). This role includes reception duties, customer support, and assisting with cabinet drawings and quotations. This position is perfect for someone looking to grow their skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to exciting design projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting walk-in customers and answer all incoming calls, emails, and messages promptly
- Maintain an organized front desk environment, including scheduling appointments, recording customer information, and managing daily inquiries
- Provide initial product guidance, explaining basic cabinet, closet, and hardware options before referring customers to sales or design staff
- Follow up with customers regarding orders, deposit payments, design approvals, and scheduling
- Assist sales team with coordinating orders, delivery timelines, and showroom demonstrations
- Maintain a neat and presentable showroom at all times, ensure all cabinet displays, hardware boards, and sample materials are clean, organized, and updated
- Ability to creating preliminary kitchen or closet layouts using 2020 Design software
- Modify design drafts based on customer feedback, ensuring accuracy in measurements, cabinet specs, and hardware selections
- Develop detailed sketches and renderings using CAD software and Sketchup, 2020 Design Live
- Participate in site visits to assess project requirements and gather inspiration.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience working in a kitchen cabinet showroom, cabinet manufacturing company, interior design studio, or renovation-related business
- Experience in customer-facing roles such as reception, showroom assistant, sales assistant, or design support
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, 2020 Design Live, Sketch Up, Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple projects.
- Attention to detail, especially with measurements and product selection
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel), Google Workspace
- Experience with CRM or customer record systems is an advantage
