Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Team Leader to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. This role is essential in ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care in a supportive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care settings, including nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and will be skilled in medication administration, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of caregivers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor residents for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and mobility support.
- Develop individualized care plans for residents based on their unique needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a collaborative care approach.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Train and mentor new staff members on best practices in caregiving and resident support.
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home, assisted living facility, or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and experience managing medications for residents.
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for supporting individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and care plans.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
- A passion for caregiving and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors is crucial for success in this role.
