Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptionally motivated, strategically minded, and highly organized Chief of Staff (CoS) to serve as a force multiplier for the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Interconnection. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and overall team accountability across a fast-paced global business unit.

The ideal candidate will possess sharp business acumen, strong technical instincts (particularly in networking, cloud, and architecture), and a proven ability to implement structure and elevate performance standards across a leadership team.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Strategy Translation: Partner with the SVP to translate the Interconnection organization's vision and strategy into an actionable annual roadmap, specific quarterly goals, and measurable objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Act as the primary liaison for resource planning and budget management, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and proactively flagging risks.

Operational Excellence & Accountability

  • Driving Structure: Implement and maintain systems for tracking key initiatives, OKRs, and dependencies across all teams (Product, Engineering, Strategy, BD).
  • Accountability & Follow-Up: Own the tracking of all critical decisions and action items emanating from the SVP's office and leadership meetings, aggressively driving follow-up and closure across the senior leadership team (SLT).
  • Raising the Bar: Identify and challenge areas of execution weakness, process inefficiency, and low accountability, working directly with functional leaders to implement higher standards and best practices.

Communications & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Executive Communication: Draft, refine, and edit high-stakes internal and external communications on behalf of the SVP, including presentations, internal updates, board materials, and all-hands content.
  • Interconnection SLT Management: Manage the leadership team agenda, drive preparation for external and internal reviews, and ensure the SLT is operating as a cohesive, high-performing unit.
  • Cross-Functional Liaison: Serve as the primary contact point between the Interconnection organization and critical corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, and other SVPs/GMs), resolving communication bottlenecks and ensuring strategic alignment.

Technical & Business Insight

  • Technical Acumen: Use strong technical knowledge (networking, BGP, SDN, interconnection architecture, cloud connectivity) to critically review plans, challenge technical assumptions, and ensure product/engineering roadmaps are sound.
  • Business Instincts: Quickly grasp complex business issues, synthesizing large amounts of information into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the SVP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in high-impact roles such as consulting, strategy, product management, or program management.
  • Minimum of 2+ years working in a highly technical environment, preferably within the Networking, Telecommunications, Cloud Infrastructure, or Data Center space.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., routing protocols, BGP, network architecture) and the interconnection industry.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create visually compelling and executive-ready presentations.
  • A self-starter and problem-solver who can operate effectively with minimal direction and ambiguity.
  • Highly organized with relentless attention to detail and a commitment to structured execution.
