Role Description

This is a contract role for a Technical Support Intern - Geomatics at vGIS Inc. The Technical Support Intern will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to geo data (GIS, BIM), assisting with the implementation and troubleshooting of vSite, and collaborating with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide top-notch technical support to our customers, guiding them across a range of geospatial and technical topics
  • Collaborate with our team to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues
  • Get involved in side coding projects and explore applications of AI in geomatics

Qualifications

  • Geomatics skills and knowledge - recent graduates or graduating students are welcome
  • Enrollment in or completion of a Geomatics or related program
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    — you'll be comfortable leading calls and working with users of all technical backgrounds
  • Independent, able to work with minimal supervison or instructions
  • Solid knowledge of
    GIS
    , including spatial references and geographic systems
  • Familiarity with
    BIM concepts
    is a plus
  • Confident in running
    training/troubleshooting sessions
    for groups
  • Passion for
    organization
    , especially maintaining accurate product documentation
  • Interest in
    AI and development
    — coding experience is a huge plus
  • Enthusiasm for
    side projects in the geospatial field
    , especially those involving code
