  • Coordinate mental health and wellness resources for all Emergency Management and Community Safety (EMCS) staff.
  • Engage in strategic program and policy development, analysis and evaluation.
  • Research and support the coordination of proactive and reactive programs/initiatives regarding employee wellness.
  • Liaise with interdepartmental partners, including Senior Management.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree in Master of Social Work program.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • The ability to conduct thorough research and analyze data which is essential for developing effective wellness programs.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Must be able to collaborate effectively within a team while also being capable of working independently to drive wellness initiatives forward.
  • Success in this position requires strong organizational and communication skills, along with a strong understanding of mental health, wellbeing, and psychological safety.

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in school on a full-time basis with the intent to return to school full-time in the Fall of 2026.
  • An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
  • If invited to an interview, you will be asked to provide an unofficial transcript or an enrollment verification letter (indicating the program and year you are currently completing).
