About The Role
As a CBRE Cost Management Analyst, you will collect, review, and present construction cost data that will assist with the development of multi-disciplined commercial real estate solutions.
This job is part of the Building Consultancy function. They are responsible for specialist building services including surveying, inspections, and planning.
What You'll Do
- Produce concept-level estimates to aid feasibility studies and assist with business cases. Gather a range of information from simple internal benchmarking to detailed market data.
- Support project managers and leasing teams to estimate costs associated with the lease. Optimize property owner contribution and tenant improvement allowances on behalf of the Client.
- Level all bid responses, organize data, and generate reports for Sr. management.
- Reconcile all estimates and change orders.
- Review all applied costs toward allowances, contingencies, and reserves. Update the cost plan accordingly.
- Prepare the release of all withholdings and close all funding approvals once complete.
- Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
- Have some knowledge of standard principles with limited practical experience in applying them.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Impact the quality of own work.
- Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Exchange straightforward information asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Perform benchmarking exercises to update the cost database with accurate, region-specific costing data
What You'll Need
- Educational Diploma or Degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Technology/Architecture or
equivalent experience in Construction Estimating or Budgeting.
- Minimum 5-7 Years experience in developing construction or project budgets, and analysis of cost breakdowns.
- Member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS) or RICS. PQS designation would be an asset.
- Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
- Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
- Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financialrelated calculations.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The salary range being offered for the Cost Management Analyst is between $85,000 annually and $90,000 annually. The compensation that is provided to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
