We're seeking a
Senior Cost Accountant
to join a well-established and growing organization based in
Vancouver, BC
.

In this role, you'll play a
key part in evaluating and improving inventory costing
, partnering closely with production, shipping, and finance teams. You'll ensure cost accuracy, streamline reporting, and support continuous process improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inventory evaluations at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Maintain accurate supply inventory records and ensure proper valuation.
  • Collaborate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to streamline cost tracking.
  • Perform periodic inventory counts and variance analysis.
  • Assist leadership and IT teams in completing and maintaining the ERP inventory module.
  • Prepare financial reports and cost analysis focused on inventory valuation and business planning.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years
    of experience in
    cost accounting
    , ideally in a
    manufacturing or food production environment
    .
  • CPA, CMA, or CGA designation (or actively pursuing CPA certification).
  • Advanced
    Excel and data analysis
    skills.
  • Strong understanding of
    ERP systems
    and cost data flow.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience in
    seafood processing, manufacturing, or plant operations

  • Familiarity with
    inventory management and cost control systems
    .
