Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Attendant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial and commercial cleaning, demonstrating attention to detail and a strong work ethic. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive atmosphere while developing valuable skills in facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas of the facility
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, hallways, and patient or public areas according to established standards
  • Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other hygiene products as needed
  • Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to ensure a safe working environment
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria
  • Chart on completed tasks and maintenance issues

Requirements

  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and reaching
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Reliable transportation is preferred for timely attendance at shifts
