Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide to join our healthcare facility. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Experience in custodial work, cleaning, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a vital service in a professional healthcare setting.

Duties

  • Perform general custodial and cleaning tasks throughout the facility, including patient rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
  • Disinfect surfaces and sanitize high-touch areas to prevent the spread of infection
  • Collect and dispose of waste according to safety protocols
  • Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other cleaning materials
  • Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines to ensure a hygienic environment
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and storage areas
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisory staff promptly
  • Chart on completed tasks and maintain a record of maintenance issues

Skills

  • Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment in accordance with health regulations
