Company Description

Exceptional Abilities Educational Consultation & Tutoring offers support to parents in navigating educational choices and supports for their children. They provide individual and group tutoring for all subjects and grade levels, delivered by experienced educators. The company also offers educational presentations to help staff understand specific diagnoses and support neurodiverse individuals and organizations.

Responsibilities
:


• Manage and educate students in a non-classroom settings


• Work with students in areas of difficulty in assigned subject areas


• Schedule tutoring sessions with parents


• Complete assessments on student's progress


• Develop study skills and exam preparation


• Document and communicate progress reports


• Provide constructive feedback for students


• Be flexible and able to provide a virtual session with minimal
notice

Requirements &
Qualifications:


• Bachelor of Education (In progress is acceptable) with previous experience in teaching, specialized education (preferred), IPP implementation, or tutoring


• Ability to build rapport with students


• Sufficient knowledge of elementary assigned subject areas


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Valid Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable sector)


• Reliable means of transportation

This is a part time contractor position. Candidates must have availability in the evenings and possible weekends (weekends are not mandatory)
