Join the Township of Wellington North as a Day Camp Coordinator, on a Seasonal Fixed Term Contract, that will work from approximately May until end of August 2026.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee day camp operations across multiple sites.

  • Support and mentor Pod Leaders and Instructors.

  • Communicate with parents and ensure camper safety.

  • Plan activities, organize supplies, and coordinate special events.

  • Provide coverage to maintain staff-to-camper ratios.

  • Handle scheduling, parent inquiries, and administrative duties.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and build a positive team environment

  • Excellent organization, initiative, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to stay calm and effective in high-energy or emergency situations

  • Experience working with children or in recreation programming

  • Standard First Aid & CPR B or C

  • HIGH FIVE certification (Principles of Healthy Child Development)

  • Safe Food Handlers Certificate

  • Valid G Driver's License

  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening for anyone over 18.

  • Other bonus skills include but not required: post secondary education in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, Education studies and previous experience working at camp or with youth programming.

Position Details:

  • This is a Seasonal Fixed Term Contract position, that works between 32.5 to 40 hours per week.

  • Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday anywhere from 7am to 5:30pm.

  • You'll work both indoors and outdoors, travel between camp sites, and enjoy the fast pace of a vibrant recreation environment.

  • Pay Range: $20.60 to $25.00 per hour
