Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using Touch Bistro
  • Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
  • Assist with food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols to uphold health standards
  • Support restaurant operations by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food preparation when needed
  • Use OpenTable or similar reservation systems to manage bookings smoothly during busy hours
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fine dining or nightclub setting

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a server in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of POS systems; experience with OpenTable is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle guest concerns professionally
  • Culinary experience or background in food industry operations is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability in upselling, sales techniques, and suggestive selling strategies
  • Exceptional time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and accurate bill processing
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous host/host or serving experience preferred; hospitality background highly valued
