Position Overview

Our client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Manager of Municipal Engineering to lead our Western Canada team in delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions to municipalities across the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of municipal engineering projects, with a focus on sewer, water, and wastewater systems. This role requires a deep understanding of municipal infrastructure, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of corporate standards, methods, and procedures.

  • Manage the human, financial, and material resources within your department.

  • Plan staffing and resourcing for projects and participate in annual HR processes, including recruitment, performance evaluations, professional development planning, and training.

  • Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation.

  • Serve as project manager for multiple municipal infrastructure projects.

  • Participate in and/or lead the delivery and execution of infrastructure assignments.

  • Ensure client satisfaction and maintain compliance with project deliverables, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA and/or APEGS, with the willingness to obtain registration in additional provinces as required.

  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years managing large-scale municipal infrastructure projects and at least 3 years managing or coordinating technical teams.

  • Strong organizational skills, with a proactive and methodical approach to managing priorities and taking initiative.

  • Excellent English communication skills (spoken, written, and reading).

  • Proven track record of delivering major infrastructure assignments for multiple municipalities.
