Hardline Engineering is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineer to join our growing team. Reporting directly to the Director, Municipal Distribution, the Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for distribution projects. This position is responsible for providing technical expertise, authenticating engineering designs, and ensuring all permitting drawings meet regulatory and industry standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Authenticate and stamp distribution designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and professional standards.
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior employees, supporting their growth and ensuring consistent project execution.
  • Manage multiple projects and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and reliable service.
  • Coordinate with external utilities such as Gas and Telecom to support project requirements and ensure seamless integration of all distribution components.
  • Set, monitor, and maintain quality standards for all distribution projects, promoting consistency and continuous improvement.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.
  • Registered with APEGA as a Professional Engineer or equivalent Canadian professional agency required.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with tight timelines.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, strong client focus and results driven.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, stakeholders and co-workers.
  • Excellent organizational skills that demonstrates the ability to resolve conflicting priorities.
