Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mobile Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating mobile cranes and other heavy machinery on construction sites, ensuring efficient lifting and movement of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations, mechanical systems, and heavy equipment handling to support various building projects.

Duties

  • Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites.
  • Coordinate with site managers and other crew members to execute lifting plans safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of crane equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of crane components, including stabilizers and outriggers.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
  • Support other heavy machinery operations such as dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, and dump trucks as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents or injuries during operations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating mobile cranes in a construction environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment such as Caterpillar machinery, concrete mixers, front loader trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, tankers, dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating associated vehicles like front loader trucks or dump trucks.
  • Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on crane equipment.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and equipment operation including familiarity with Caterpillar machinery.
  • Physical ability to handle demanding work conditions including lifting heavy loads and working at heights when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$51.21 per hour
