Job Title: Shopify Implementation Specialist

Reports To: Head of Delivery or Project Manager

Overview

The Shopify Implementation Specialist is responsible for setting up, configuring, and optimizing Shopify and Shopify Plus stores for new and existing clients. This role bridges the gap between design, development, and operations—ensuring every store is properly structured, integrated, and ready to perform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and customize Shopify themes using the native editor and basic Liquid edits when required.
  • Install, test, and configure third-party and custom apps to meet business requirements.
  • Manage product, customer, and order data imports/exports using tools like Matrixify or CSV templates.
  • Set up collections, navigation, metafields, and basic workflows.
  • Implement and validate integrations with ERP, POS, CRM, or marketing tools.
  • QA and troubleshoot theme or app conflicts before launch.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and project managers to ensure projects stay on scope and timeline.
  • Provide post-launch support, documentation, and training to client teams.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years working with Shopify or Shopify Plus (agency experience preferred).
  • Proficient in store setup, app configuration, and data management (products, customers, orders).
  • Basic understanding of Liquid, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with Shopify ecosystem tools (Matrixify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, ShipStation, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured workflows.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Shopify POS setup and hardware configuration.
  • Knowledge of Shopify B2B
  • Familiarity with ERP or CRM integrations (e.g., NetSuite, Linnworks, HubSpot).

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work across design, data, and technology—turning Shopify stores into fully functional, well-integrated digital experiences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
