Location: Toronto, Ontario | Remote

Talent Renew has partnered with a reputable Toronto-based family law firm seeking an experienced Family Lawyer with 5+ years of practice to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled practitioner with a strong client focus and a proven track record to manage complex family law matters entirely remotely while working within a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role

The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including separation, divorce, child and spousal support, custody and access, property division, and domestic agreements. You will work independently on your files while collaborating virtually with other lawyers and staff to provide strategic advice and advocacy for clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and practical legal advice to clients on family law matters

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of family law documents, including agreements, pleadings, and court applications

  • Appear in virtual court, mediations, and arbitration hearings representing clients effectively

  • Conduct legal research and analysis, applying findings to client strategies

  • Maintain clear and responsive communication with clients and colleagues in a remote setting

  • Manage files efficiently, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate

  • Contribute to business development through client engagement and referrals

What We're Looking For:

  • JD or LL.B. and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

  • Minimum of 5 years of family law experience

  • Strong litigation, negotiation, and drafting skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities

  • Client-focused with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently in a fully remote environment

  • Experience with family law software and document management systems is an asset

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to firm growth
