Senior Family Law Lawyer – 8+ Years

Location: Toronto, ON | In-office (flexible options)

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Talent Renew is partnering with a well-established full-service law firm seeking a motivated Senior Family Law Lawyer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer to manage complex family law matters while being part of a supportive team and making a real impact on clients' lives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of complex family law matters, including separation, divorce, custody, access, support, and property issues. You will draft, negotiate, and review agreements and court materials, represent clients in court appearances, mediations, and negotiations, and collaborate with colleagues across practice groups when multidisciplinary support is required. You will also maintain and grow your existing client base within a supportive, well-resourced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and advance a variety of complex family law matters

  • Draft, negotiate, and review family law agreements and court materials

  • Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations

  • Collaborate with other practice groups where multidisciplinary support is required

  • Maintain and grow your existing client base

  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the ongoing growth of the family law group

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in family law with a proven track record of independent file management

  • Excellent legal drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills

  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship abilities

  • A full or partial portable practice is required

  • Desire to contribute to the growth of the family law group through mentorship and leadership
