Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and woodworking, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. This role involves working on residential and commercial projects, including framing, concrete forming, siding, and restoration. The successful applicant will be a reliable team player capable of heavy lifting and operating various power tools and heavy equipment. Prior experience with concrete finishing, welding, and concrete forming is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate framing and construction work
- Construct and install wall frames, floors, roofs, and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks for foundations, walls, or other structures
- Install siding, sheathing, and other exterior building components in accordance with project specifications
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and moving materials around the job site
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures or surfaces
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high-quality standards
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
- Experience with concrete forming, concrete finishing, welding, and restoration work
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, saws, levels, and chisels
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and nail guns
- Knowledge of siding installation techniques for various materials
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when required
- Strong carpentry skills with expertise in framing techniques using wood or metal studs
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Prior experience working with schematics or technical drawings is preferred
