Bookkeeper (Trust Account Experience Required)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our organization. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in overseeing financial management and daily account activities. This position requires a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in trust accounting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Oversee and manage all financial activities, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable and government remittances.
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial statements.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure transparency in financial reporting and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a notary or legal environment.
- Strong knowledge of trust accounting procedures and regulations in British Columbia.
- Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
