All Avenues and Speech Avenue is a private clinic offering Speech Language services and Behaviour Therapy services in the GTA. We believe in providing the tools and treatment to a meaningful life to clientele.

We are looking to hire several Speech language Pathologists (SLPs) as a contract position for assessments and supervision in each of our office locations, Scarborough and Etobicoke.

2 years minimum clinical experience required. However, we also welcome new grads, and will mentor.

Duties and Responsibilities of SLP

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties.
  • Develop and implement effective treatment programs.
  • Provide counseling to patients and patients' families about results of testing and recommended treatment options.
  • Establish patient understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment.
  • Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits.
  • Delegate duties to support personnel as appropriate.
  • Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines.
  • Refer patients to medical specialists in dentistry, psychology, or other related fields
  • Provide therapy to clients of various ages (children, adults, and rehab patients)
  • Work with clients from different backgrounds and specialized populations.
  • Collaborate and consult with disciplines and practitioners.

  • Provide families with resources, information, and home programs.

  • Participate in continuing education classes and workshops to remain current.

Qualifications Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited Speech and Language Masters Program

  • Current OAP provider

  • Experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum is preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a MUST.
