Journeyman Welder
The Journeyman Welder interprets fabrication drawings, sketches and welding specs to produce or repair various parts and equipment, as well as undertakes the set-up, general maintenance and operation of various welding machines.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Mentor Apprentice Welders.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures.
- Interpret and continually refer to diagrams and tables on drawings to determine material requirements and measurements; the type, size, location and starting position of welds; the welding process; and other engineering requirements.
- Ensure all Ketek's work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations are followed and represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Mission Statement.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Welding certificate with minimum one-year experience
- CWB Certification considered an asset
Working Conditions:
- Monday to Friday with an 8-hour shift each day with overtime
A weld test may be required for this position**
