Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team must be available evenings and weekends (Mondays 10-6 Fridays 3-8 and helping covering shifts) the ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while managing the daily operations of the salon. This role requires a blend of technical sales skills and strong communication abilities to effectively promote our services and products.

Duties

  • Greet clients warmly upon arrival and manage their check-in process.
  • Schedule appointments using our POS system, ensuring optimal use of salon resources.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Provide product demonstrations and assist clients in selecting appropriate products for their needs.
  • Maintain an organized reception area, ensuring it is welcoming and tidy at all times.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently, utilizing basic math skills for transactions.
  • Assist in promoting salon services and retail products to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks while maintaining high-quality service.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic math proficiency for handling transactions.
  • Ability to conduct product demos confidently and persuasively.
  • Strong time management skills to ensure efficient appointment scheduling and client flow.
  • A positive attitude with a passion for the beauty industry is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Calgary, AB T3H 3C8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
