About the Role
We are looking for a trustworthy, reliable AZ/DZ driver to drive and operate a Vacuum Truck, operating Monday through Friday, with the possibility of Saturday work. As a Vacuum Truck Operator Trainee, you will learn how to:
- Operate and drive vacuum trucks servicing industrial sectors, wastewater and water industries, as well as hydro-excavation projects;
- Perform pre-trip, on route and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, vehicle systems and equipment;
- Assist in loading, unloading and handling vacuum hoses (lifting up to 50 pounds);
- Complete all required documentation;
- Operate safely and efficiently.
Your education, skills and experience include:
- Valid AZ/DZ license;
- Willingness to travel to projects across Ontario;
- Ability to drive manual transmission (13, 18-speed) is an asset;
- Driver's abstract in good standing, with at least two years of commercial experience;
- Positive attitude.
