We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Financial Analyst
with strong technical accounting expertise and analytical ability to support financial reporting, regulatory filings, and internal management reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of IFRS, internal controls, and financial statement preparation, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review inputs for quarterly consolidated financial statement note disclosures.
  • Prepare both routine and non-routine journal entries and account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial analysis, reporting, and operational support related to regulatory filings and internal management requirements.
  • Implement and maintain accounting, organizational, and regulatory policies, ensuring appropriate internal controls and support for external audits.
  • Analyze and communicate financial performance, highlighting key business drivers and insights.
  • Stay current with emerging IFRS standards and regulatory accounting requirements, ensuring timely implementation of changes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation and IT tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support risk management and internal control processes, including evaluating design and operating effectiveness.
  • Monitor and track progress of key financial projects and initiatives to promote accountability across the organization.
  • Lead or participate in meetings and cross-functional initiatives, driving collaboration and successful outcomes.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and special projects as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (Canada) is required.
  • Minimum of
    5 years of progressive experience
    in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of
    IFRS
    , and experience with
    regulatory or utility accounting (MIFRS)
    is an asset.
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to process improvement, accuracy, and internal control excellence.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
