Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial eCommerce Manager to drive the development and launch of the eCommerce platform. This foundational role demands a strategic thinker capable of shaping the entire digital customer experience from the ground up, translating business vision into a tangible, high-performing website.

The ideal candidate will own the eCommerce product roadmap and help lead the development team, while working cross-functionally with marketing, merchandising, operations, and supply chain to deliver intuitive shopping experiences, scalable backend systems, and innovative features that position us competitively in the retail landscape.

In this role you will:

  • Own and drive the end-to-end eCommerce strategy
  • Be responsible for the development, integration, optimization, migration, deployment, and maintenance of all online products
  • Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from concept and requirements gathering to launch and optimization
  • Work closely with project management and the cross-functional team (e.g., marketing, merchandising, operations, customer service) to ensure seamless product delivery and operations
  • Leverage data analytics, customer feedback, A/B testing, and user research to inform decisions, identify growth opportunities, and continuously improve the platform
  • Create and manage detailed product roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint planning within an Agile environment to prioritize feature releases and resource allocation
  • Identify opportunities for innovation; prioritize enhancements that improve the customer experience and sales, balancing trade-offs of cost-effectiveness and user value
  • Drive continuous improvement by focusing on intuitive and engaging cross-platform customer experiences, including mobile responsiveness and accessibility
  • Assist and manage status of inventory and ensure any price changes, descriptions, roll-outs are reflected accurately on the site
  • Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, sales data, customer satisfaction, and traffic to measure product success and ROI
  • Translate strategies into actionable and measurable tactics as well as monitor and measure performance of the products or new releases and understand how customers are engaging with our products on site
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and external partners for platform integrations and services
  • Build, manage and coach eCommerce team
  • Lead regular touchpoint meetings to provide visibility into the product roadmap/decisions, and to ensure milestones and deliverables are achieved
  • Partner cross functionally to facilitate decision-making, propose alternative solutions, and help identify gaps in our product and business

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience with like to see:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of eCommerce product management experience and a proven track record overseeing the growth of an ecommerce business across DTC and/or marketplaces
  • Experience with building and optimizing outstanding customer journeys for ecommerce, while working with design and technical teams to build and optimize websites
  • Hands-on experience with CMS (i.e. WooCommerce, Shopify, Salesforce, etc.), Google Analytics, Hotjar, SEO
  • Knowledgeable of best practices for UX/UI, web content, conversion optimization, site hierarchy and organization, accessibility and site speed optimization
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent project management, technical, problem-solving, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented, highly organized and able to prioritize multiple projects in fast paced work environment with changing priorities and strict deadlines
  • High regard for quality assurance
  • Self-starter with good capacity for adaptation, autonomy, openness and sense of urgency
  • Comfortable managing and influencing people who are not direct reports across all levels
