About the Role:

Walking With V is expanding and looking for reliable in-home dog boarders to provide overnight and multi-day care in their own home for our clients' dogs — starting on an on-call/contract basis (as-needed bookings when clients travel or need care).

This is an especially great fit for someone who works 100% remotely — you can blend caring for these amazing pups with your regular workday, since the dogs are right there at home with you

We specialize in big personalities — large breeds, reactive pups, dogs with past trauma, insecurities, or separation anxiety. If you have a calm, pet-free home and love creating a safe, loving temporary environment for these special dogs, this is a rewarding way to get started with us.

Great performers who enjoy the work will have the opportunity to transition into part-time or full-time dog walking (or more consistent boarding) as our client base grows — perfect if you're looking to build toward steady hours

Availability: Flexible overnight stays on an as-needed basis (weekends, holidays, and occasional multi-day bookings to start). Part-time to full-time potential down the line.

What You'll Do:

  • Host and care for our clients' dogs in your home (overnight boarding)
  • Provide meals, playtime, exercise (walks/outdoor time), and lots of affection
  • Handle goofy giants to anxious rescues — keeping them safe, comfortable, and happy
  • Send fun updates/photos to owners (we'll show you how)
  • Maintain a clean, secure, low-stress space for each guest

What You Need:

Proven experience with large breeds and/or reactive dogs (references or examples required)

A calm, pet-free home (no other dogs, cats, or pets — critical for our clients' special-needs pups)

Secure, dog-safe environment

Vehicle + valid driver's license (strongly preferred for pickups/drop-offs or emergencies)

Physically able to manage big dogs, walks, and active play

Reliable, patient, independent, and completely trustworthy

Ready for outdoor time in any weather — dogs don't pause for rain or snow
