Business Operations Specialist
We're proud to be in the solutions business at Dell Technologies. Our operations team members work with the engineering team to ensure they have the infrastructure and support needed to efficiently deliver our next generation of telecom products for our customers.
We work with other teams in Dell to procure needed hardware, software, and services, and with 3rd party vendors to help identify the best products and services to meet the needs of the development team. We navigate Dell's internal procurement and financial processes and strive to build a wide network of contacts in other teams to help keep operations running smoothly.

What you'll achieve
As a Business Operations Specialist you will be an important member of our Ottawa R&D team developing wireless solutions for our federal customers. The candidate for this role should be experienced in conducting operations activities in large organizations
You will:
• Work with engineering teams to identify their needs, now, and in the future, to ensure hardware, software and services needed for product development are planned and budgeted effectively.
• Work with commodity management and procurement teams to identify appropriate vendors, navigate purchasing activities, help contain costs, and when necessary, on-board new vendors as Dell suppliers.
• Work with finance teams to track budget execution and navigate issues related to quarterly spending activity.
• Reconcile vendor invoices and follow up with the accounts payable team when needed to ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner and that Dell maintains good relations with our suppliers.
• Support team needs for coordination and execution of shipping and receiving needs to support trials and trade shows | Track software and hardware delivery and inventory, supporting annual renewals and maintenance activities

Essential Requirements
• Experience in an operations team at a large company with complex processes, performing procurement, budgeting, and inventory management activities.
• Organized, goal-oriented, self-starter with a team-focused mentality
• 2 years of related experience in a professional role with a bachelor's degree; or equivalent experience
Desirable Requirements
• 5+ years of career experience in operations or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
• Prior knowledge of procurement systems such as Ariba and Quickbase
Compensation
Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position is $59,585 - $77,110 CAD.
