Oxford College Mississauga Campus is currently seeking to hire a full-time Dental Hygiene Program Director.

The objective of this role is to manage, plan and coordinate the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of the dental hygiene program. The responsibilities will include but will not be limited to providing administrative support in the development and implementation of the Dental Hygiene program. Applicants will also be required to serve as a primary liaison between students, faculty, staff, other departments, and/or external constituencies on day-to-day programmatic, operational, and administrative issues. Applicants must be available to sit on various college committees and also have the ability to develop strategies for program enhancement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
  • Ability to lead and train staff and/or students.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques.
  • Advanced writing and editorial skills.
  • Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports.
  • Ability to interact with students, faculty and/or staff in a team environment.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:

  • Independent coordination of all day-to-day aspects of a specified program activity.
  • Program planning, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Implementation of effective operational/administrative policies and procedures specific to the achievement of the objectives of the program.
  • Writing, editing, and publication of marketing, promotional, and/or educational materials and integrated reports specific to the program.
  • Day-to-day team interaction with, liaison between, and coordination of a wide range of internal and external constituencies involved in program activities.

Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency of computer skills, organizational and collaborative management abilities.
