Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, experience with property management software, and excellent communication abilities. This role offers an opportunity to manage property portfolios effectively while providing exceptional service to tenants and property owners.

Duties

  • Manage tenant relations, including lease agreements, inquiries, and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion and quality standards
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and correspondence
  • Assist in marketing available units through sales strategies and customer relationship management techniques
  • Negotiate lease terms with prospective tenants and renewals with existing tenants
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, lease agreements, and maintenance requests
  • Use/modify company system to schedule and track maintenance activities
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette when communicating with tenants, vendors, and property owners

Requirements

  • Proven experience in property management or related administrative roles
  • Proficiency with a property management software is desirable
  • Knowledge of NS Tenancy Board Regulations
  • Strong office experience including data entry, filing, and record keeping
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally
  • Effective negotiation skills for lease agreements and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of property management best practices, including familiarity with CMMS systems
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal; professional phone etiquette required
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
