Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Boom Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery and a solid understanding of construction site safety protocols. This role involves coordinating the movement of materials and equipment to ensure efficient project progress while maintaining a safe work environment. The Boom Operator will play a crucial role in supporting heavy lifting operations and ensuring the smooth flow of construction activities on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Operate boom lifts, and other heavy machinery to move materials and assist with construction tasks
  • Coordinate lifting and placement of materials with precision to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew and other team members to facilitate smooth operations
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations related to construction site operations
  • Assist with other tasks on the job site as needed
  • Maintain a clean work environment around machinery and work areas

Requirements

  • Must have a valid zoom boom operator certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating zoom booms
  • Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and protocols
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely
  • Relevant certifications or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred
