Jardeg is recruiting Equipment Operators to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the IOL KEARL site near Fort McKay, Alberta. Charter flights are provided by the company from Calgary or Edmonton. While working on-site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facilities, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers

The positions are for our spring **TURN AROUND STARTING IN MAY** working 11.5 hours per day (2 x 30 minutes breaks, 1 paid, 1 unpaid).

Equipment Operators perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the operation of light, medium and heavy equipment and trucks;. Responsible for understanding and following all operating policy and procedures while operating equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with strapping and stringing activities loads.
- Manual material handling.
- Operate hand and power tools.
- Clean and prepare sites.
- Receives written and oral instructions from supervisor regarding materials to move or excavate.
- Demonstrates safe operation of all equipment.
- Reads and understands the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
- Properly maintains and services or has equipment serviced daily.
- Performs minor maintenance or clearing of tools and equipment
- Understanding and following Jardeg's safety management system and core values
- MUST HAVE previous experience

Minimum Requirements:

- Standard First Aid (Level C or A)
- ESC Common Safety Orientation
- ESC Wood Buffalo / Wildlife Awareness
- Basic Rigging
- Valid Driver’s License
- Counterbalance Forklift Ticket
- Telehandler (Zoom Boom)
- Other safety ticket(s) and orientation(s) required, as per the project team
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
